Reading Fun!

All of the Head Start classrooms had a blast when Officer Donovan of the Chicago Police Department came for a visit. Officer Donovan read to the scholars, answered all of their questions and made sure they each knew that the emergency number was 9-1-1!

Lucky Charms Food Experience

The Lucky Charms had a lot of fun making No Bake Energy Bites. The Bites are made from peanut butter, dry oatmeal, honey and chocolate chips!

The Sunshines of the Settlement’s School Age program celebrated Cinco de Mayo by creating handsome Mexican hats which they proudly took home to share with their families, Viva Mexico!

Netiquette Success!

Scholars from the Lucky Charms as well as four other groups of the School Age program participated in a Netiquette Session with Mr. Allen Ramsier organized by Ms. Josie, Ms. Buki and Ms. Tamara from AmeriCorps Project Yes!
 
Session focused on learning about computer, tablet and phone safety as well as an Easy Quiz and Hard Quiz which scholars passed with flying colors.IMG_0451
