Expressing Thanks

December 8, 2015

The scholars in the Jelly Beans had a great activity to express “Thanks”:  they created the “thankful turkey project’ in which each jellybean had two pine cones and two paper hands cut out. On the first pine cone they had to glue one of their hands to the cone and write “I’m thankful for…” and add a face to the front of the cone. For the second pine cone they had to once again glue the hand and face to it, but this time write what they are thankful for. The thankful turkey project enhances cutting, gluing, writing, and tracing skills. For drawing and imaginary play the jelly beans get creative and enhance their imagination.
